Favourite Monk combo
Okay, have now got a Warrior/Monk character (which was my first one), and got it ascended. Tried to go into UW/FOW, and almost did not get picked at all, because it appeared to be very unpopular.
Then created an Ellie/Mesmer, which is now ascended, and has the Echo skill, had my first outage in FOW yesterday, and enjoyed it v much. The most popular (read in demand) character however, appears to be the healing monk (not too many around maybe because it does not wet everyones appetite to just be healing everyone, not everyone is a Florence Nightingale). So this is my next character, what is the best combo for a healing monk, who is supposed to stay alive as well in UW/FOW?? I have now got Mo/E created, but since I am still in pre-searing that obviously is easily changed. Your knowledgeable insights much appreciated |

the best one right now is mo/me
but i'd suggest you go mo/n to just unlock all the necro side for pvp you can always change you profession later, and keep the skills, and change back anytime you like |

I wonder if "Fast casting" works for a monk. If that is true, me/mo is a very good combo. I don't believe you get "Fast casting" as mo/me.
Any way, healing monk is a thankless job. You make everybody feel invulnerable, and they all ignore your struggle to regenerate. |

By the time you are able to make it to FoW or UW you will be ascended already and you should be able to change your secondary profession any time..
I FoW all the time and don't ever use my secondary profession at all... so it doesn't matter.... I'd ONLY say mesmer for hex removal but besides that your secondary profession isn't that important. I would make myself a Mo/W so you can eventually make a 55 monk.. just a suggestion |

If you want to go 55 monk then mo/n is awesome for farming or power leveling anywhere else other than FoW or UW. Griffons, minotaurs, ettins, and even trolls don't stand a chance against an invincimonk with SS.

Mo/N or Mo/Me is best for me when I do missions and I also use Mo/E
For solo I also use either Mo/N or Mo/Me |

But when I tell them that I'm out of energy, it's everybody for him/herself (Unless they give me time to regenerate) |

PvE? Mo/N. No question. Offering of Blood is just too useful to pass up.
